Waterloo Crop Circle, Belgium – 2006 | Fine Art Print with Passepartout Paper Frame
Captured in 2006 over Waterloo, Belgium, this aerial photograph showcases the striking quadruple Yin/Yang geometry of the crop circle. The small plane in flight, with its propeller tip visible in the frame, provides a sense of scale and perspective. Photographed by Philippe Ullens in July, the formation emphasizes polarity and symmetry. Remarkably, it appeared on the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, where 55,000 people tragically lost their lives in just five hours. This leads Ullens to wonder if the crop circle serves as a form of energetic acupuncture to heal the site. The formation was reportedly created in just four hours, coinciding with the summer solstice. The farmer later recalled that he was happy to host a crop circle in his fields a few years before his retirement.
