The farmer in this area is famously fond of crop circles. This striking formation appeared in a barley field near the chalk White Horse on Hackpen Hill, one of the UK’s most well-known crop circle sites. Formations here shift location from year to year, often emerging close to the ancient Ridgeway path that links Hackpen, Avebury, and Barbury Castle. This particular 2018 circle was beautifully captured by Philippe Ullens.
