Book Signing at The Henge
Shop Sunday 26th August 2007
Signing by Kit Berry: author of the
novels in the Stonewylde series - 'Magus of Stonewylde' & 'Moondance of
Stonewylde'.
An enchanting yet disturbing series of an alternative
community in modern Dorset. Stonewylde is a beautiful estate hidden away in the
depths of rural England. It's a place of standing stones and earth energy, an
idyllic refuge from the modern world. But all is not quite as it seems. Behind
the organic farming, rural crafts, colourful festivals and ceremonies, there's
a darker more sinister side to Stoneywylde where brutality is rife. |

atmosphere of the most compelling of modern mysteries, this is a wonderful book
by two of the world's leading commentators on the phenomenon of crop
circles.
Containing a remarkable selection of over 280 magnificent
photographic images, it includes the most dramatic crop circle events of the
last decade. Steve Alexander's superb aerial photography and unique shots of
landscapes combined with Karen Alexander's thought-provoking commentary to
offer the most authoritative and in-depth treatment of the subject

June 2006
Some of you
might have seen the 'For Sale' panel, both physically on the Henge Shop, and on
this web-site. Both are now gone. We would like to whole heartedly thank Kathe
and Brian Ashley for the remarkable work they have done over more than 20 years
which allows all of us to enjoy the Henge Shop as an unusually delicious place.
This leaves us with quite a significant and enjoyable challenge.
The
team in the shop is very experienced and remains unchanged. It is now managed
by Esther Smith and John Wilding. Esther has been working in the shop for 4
years, has been the main drive behind the web-site and knows the area well: she
is the author of 3 small books about Avebury, Stonehenge and the white horses.
Esther and John met in Avebury, worked together managing Stones Restaurant
nearby and are happy to tackle this challenge together.
We run a similar
type of shop in Brussels, Belgium (www.soulfood.be). We have been coming to Avebury every
summer for 5 years. We haven't seen many places like Avebury and are happy to
get a chance to contribute.
Welcome to all of you.
